The Study Shack is a One-on-One tutoring service located in New York City. We tutor students at our Upper East Side location and in the home.

We assist students in all grade levels-PreK-12th, as well as college level students. Tutoring is available in all core subjects-English, Reading, Writing, Math, Science, History, Foreign Languages, Study Skills, and Standardized Test Preparation.

We specialize in tutoring children with Special Needs.

We address Dyslexia, ADD, ADHD, PDD, Autism, Aspergers, Non-Verbal Learning Disorders, and Language Processing Difficulties. Our specially trained educators can assist your child in developing the skills necessary to learn in a productive way. The Study Shack is a neighborhood tutoring center, owned and operated by Janie Teller, M.Ed., a licensed teacher with over 20 years experience teaching both mainstream and special education. Our services are available on the Upper East Side, Upper West Side, Midtown, Chelsea, West Village, East Village and all NYC areas. The Study Shack's tutors, comprised of teachers and graduate students, have expertise in all subject areas and provide one-on-one targeted assistance that compliments your child's learning style, and provides the tools necessary to succeed.
