Special Needs Tutoring

The Study Shack's specially trained tutors, who have extensive backgrounds in working with children with Special Needs, will assist your child in developing the skills necessary to learn in a productive way. Our goal is to help your child become more confident and secure in their inclusion or mainstream school setting. We implement and maintain ongoing communication with your child's school personnel and all therapists involved, in order to work together to reach the individualized goals of each student. One-on-One assistance is available at our center located on the Upper East Side of Manhattan or in your home.

We offer tutoring addressing the following Special Needs:

• Language Processing Difficulties

We serve students from PreK-12th grade, as well as college students. In addition to Special Needs tutoring, tutoring is available in all core subjects-English, Reading, Math,Science, History, Foreign Languages, Study Skills and Standarized Test Prep (NYC State Exams, ERB, ISEE, SSAT, SHSAT, Regents, ACT, SAT).
